Description
The churchyard cross in Bettws Newydd is a medieval structure featuring steps and a single stone base. It has three high steps with a square plan, including a single massive northeast block on the second step. The base is notable for its unusual tracery panels, which are much eroded. There is a quatrefoil to the south, two quatrefoils to the east, and a cross to the north. The cross, added in 1879, is made of Forest of Dean stone and is chamfered with broach stops.
