Description
The walls of the walled garden at The Grondra form a large rectangular area measuring approximately 50 meters by 60 meters, with walls standing about 3 meters high. These walls are constructed from coursed squared red sandstone rubble, topped with dressed copings. The inner faces of the walls are made of red brick. A pair of red brick gatepiers and wrought iron gates were added in the late 20th century. Additionally, there are three small original doorways. The north wall shows evidence of greenhouses that have since been removed.
