Description
This is a range of four Georgian houses located at 9-12 St Ann Street, including forecourt railings. The walls are primarily finished in joint-lined roughcast, with smooth render on No. 12. The houses feature slate mansard roofs that incorporate five flat head dormers, two of which are on No. 10. There is a moulded eaves cornice and corniced brick stacks at the rear. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic, presenting a total of nine windows: two for each house, except for No. 10 which has three. The windows are 12-pane sashes set in reveals, with some being blind or blocked, specifically the top right window of No. 9 and the top centre and bottom left windows of No. 10. The dormers are fitted with 6-pane casements. Each house has a square-headed doorway topped with wooden hoods supported by brackets. Between Nos. 10 and 11, there is a lead downpipe with a rainwater head. The forecourts are adorned with wrought iron railings, which mostly feature spear finials, along with some urns and scrolled supports and gates.
