Description
This is a double-depth plan house, likely dating to the early 19th century. It is constructed with roughcast rendering, a natural slate roof, and a red brick stack. The building is two storeys high with a regular arrangement of four windows. The main entrance, a small, pedimented doorcase with beading, is positioned to the left of the centre of the facade and contains a six-panelled door, the lower two panels glazed. The reveals are panelled, and console brackets support the pediment. The other windows are simple six-over-six pane sash windows, with the exception of a smaller, later window on the ground floor to the right, which has a two-over-two pane sash. The roof has a low pitch and features eaves on paired brackets, with a ridge stack on the right-hand side. Simple spike wrought iron railings, attached to a low stone wall, run along the front of the property, with double gates positioned at either end of the elevation. The rear elevation has not been inspected. The interior was not inspected during a recent survey, but it is reported that a stick baluster staircase and other early 19th century joinery remain in the hall.
