Description

Joyland House is an early 19th century, three-storey and attic, Georgian terraced house with a later shop incorporated at ground level. The house is rendered and has a hipped roof with two round-headed dormers. Brick stacks rise above a gable parapet on the right side. The front facade has two windows and features checked back angles, a simplified eaves cornice, and a blocking course. A moulded cill and cornice band runs over the first-floor windows, which have moulded architraves and decorative brackets. A good 1930s shop front, featuring a bronze facade with traceried fanlights and panelled stall-risers, extends across the ground floor. There are two doorways recessed under a fascia, with fluted surrounds to the left, and a second entry to the right. A two-storey extension runs along the rear to Crown Court.
