Description

The road bridge near the former Pontsarn Station is a notable structure featuring rock-faced grey stone abutments and a single elliptical arch with a span of 7.9 meters. The arch is constructed with stone voussoirs positioned between battered piers. Above the parapets, which are supported by a string course of large stones, there is a raised band that steps forward over the piers. The bridge has rock-faced stone coping and a roadway that is approximately 6 meters wide, with no footpath. The soffit is made of evenly sized stones laid in parallel courses.
