Description

Nos 48 and 49 Little Free Street are an early to mid 19th century pair of houses. They are built of stone and feature slate roofs with a central chimney stack. The door and window openings have stone lintels. On the first floor, there were originally two windows and a blind centre window, but now there is a later window to the right of the centre. On the ground floor, each house has a doorway for an end passage, followed by an entrance doorway towards the centre, and then a window.

No. 49 retains 12-pane horned sash windows and does not have a door to the passage; it features a half-glazed modern house door.
