Description
Pen-y-Stair is a stone house dating from the 18th century, consisting of one-and-a-half storeys and featuring a roof covered with imitation stone slates. The building is arranged in three blocks. The central section includes a chimney on the left side and three gabled dormers, along with two square windows on the ground floor. There is a doorway on the left side, situated near a recessed lower block that has its own doorway and window on the left, as well as a gable end with a projecting chimney, a window at the upper level to the right, and a door below.
At the right end of the house, there is a lower recessed block that contains a doorway and a single window on each floor. Inside, the main block features a joist-beam ceiling and a large open fireplace, with a winding stair located to the right. The principal roof structure of the main block remains intact.
