Description

The aqueduct at Goytre Wharf is a Grade II listed structure built of squared coursed stone, featuring dressed voussoirs and a keystone. It has a tall single arch with a solid appearance and a depressed segmental arch. The aqueduct is flanked by deep curved wing walls and topped with a parapet. Both faces of the structure are treated the same, showcasing its handsome design. On the side that supports the towpath, a tubular steel handrail has been added along the parapet.
