Description
The outbuilding at Crug Glas is a farmbuilding dating from the 19th century, constructed from rubble stone with a slate roof and designed in an L-plan. The shorter section features a loft above a two-bay cart-shed, accessible via outside stone steps leading to a loft door on the end wall. Above the two cart entries are two loft windows, which are now fitted with 6-pane 20th-century casements. The cart entries have grey limestone voussoirs forming elliptical arched heads, and to the left is a door with stone voussoirs, positioned at an angle to the barn range.
The barn range is notable for its detailed stonework. It includes a broad door to the right with limestone voussoirs, two loop openings, tall barn doors, and an additional loop to the left. The barn doorway features stone voussoirs forming a shallow arch and double boarded doors. A slated pent roof is supported by two wooden posts. The end wall has three loop openings and is connected to a low range of three pigsties, which have brick jambs for their entries and stone yard walls in front.
