Description

Bridge No. 83 is an accommodation and access bridge that crosses the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal at a slight angle. It features a semi-elliptical arch made of voussoirs and is constructed from squared, faced, and coursed local sandstone. The parapet has cock-and-hen coping, which was likely rebuilt in the late 19th century, and the bridge has curving abutments. The bridge number is displayed on the south face of the arch, and the towpath runs beneath the arch on the east side.
