Description

The railings and gates to Salem Chapel date from the 19th century and enclose a stone flagged forecourt. The railings are set on low rock-faced coping stones and feature both bottom and top rails, with lance heads that are larger on the stanchions, which have scrolled supports. There are two gateways, each with matching gates and dog-bars positioned between panelled cast-iron piers that have coved corniced caps.
