Description
4 Queen Street is a detached house featuring three bays and two storeys. It has a slate gabled roof and a rendered chimney on the right side. The eaves are boxed, and the facade is made of painted lined stucco, with long and short quoins on both the left and right sides, along with a high plinth. The house has renewed horned 12-pane sash windows throughout, which are framed by keyed, shouldered surrounds and concrete sills. The front door is a recessed 20th-century replacement for a four-panel door that originally had an overlight with glazing bars; it is set in a similar surround but is overlaid with a late 20th-century timber surround that features console brackets supporting a flat hood. The right and left returns of the house are finished in pebbledash. At the rear right, there is a single-storey rubble stone extension that includes a small central window opening. The interior has not been inspected.
