Description

Pont Newydd is a road bridge built in the late 18th century or early 19th century over the Afon Nyfer. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a single main arch, which is flanked by full-height cutwaters on each side, along with small outer flood arches. The arch rings are made of cut stone and include keystones, which are slightly recessed. The parapets are in a state of significant decay and are overgrown. There is a high rubble stone approach ramp leading up from the north side.
