Description
3 Range Farm at Waunifor Farm is a three-sided farm courtyard built from rubble stone with slate roofs, although some have been replaced with corrugated asbestos. The centerpiece is a tall double-door barn featuring two camber-headed high doors, cut stone voussoirs, and a row of dove holes beneath the eaves. A plaque on the barn reads 'AD 1812 by the Rev D Davies'. Inside, there is a dividing wall and similar tall rear doors.
On each side of the barn, there are long single-storey wings connected by short returns to the barn's end walls. The right wing has one door with stone voussoirs and a keystone adjacent to the barn, followed by a long range that includes a stable with a small window on each side of the door, cut-stone voussoirs for the windows, and a single stone lintel above the door. This range also features three round-arched cart entries with cut-stone voussoirs and keystones. Beyond this is an added range with a lower roof and a door that has a single stone lintel.
The left wing has a corrugated iron lean-to at the angle, followed by a well-spaced door, a six-pane window under the eaves, and another door, all with cut stone voussoirs and keystones. There is a 20th-century window under the eaves to the left, and then three closely spaced arch-headed doorways with cut-stone arches and keystones, with the outer doorways partially blocked.
