Description
The stockyard wall at Leighton Farm is a Grade II listed structure consisting of two detached sections. The shorter section curves around the south end of the stockhouse, and to the left of the wall, there was formerly a gate. From the opposite gate pier, the wall continues along the west side of the West Stockhouse and curves around the north side. It is constructed of rubble stone with dressed copings and buttresses on the exterior face. On the north side, the coping rises in stages, while the southern section concludes with an octagonal pier topped with a pyramidal cap. On the yard side, the lower half of the wall is faced in brick.
