Description

This is a mid-19th century row of five almshouses. The front is built of symmetrical, coursed rubble, with a hipped slate roof and wide boarded eaves. Chimney stacks are visible on the rear roof pitches. Small gables are present over the first-floor windows at the ends and centre, framing advanced and gabled bays at numbers 96 and 100. These gables retain pendants and finials, and all feature undulating bargeboards. The windows are small-paned, two-light casements with Tudor labels. Triangular-headed windows with diamond-paned tops rise through the eaves in the small gables, and number 96 has rose-pattern bosses flanking its windows. Number 94 has a boarded door; the other doors are half-glazed. The rear elevation has four gables, with the gables at number 94 being broader. The chimney stacks here are partially rendered. Numbers 94 and 96 retain sliding sash windows, and a rubble lean-to is attached to the left.
