Description
St. David's House is an early 19th-century building of two storeys and three windows, originally built with roughcast rendering over a stone base. It has a steep hipped slate roof with wide eaves and brick stacks. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in plain reveals with a flush frame to the centre. A central doorway features a dentil cornice, panelled pilasters, and a recessed six-panel door with panelled reveals.
A lower, gabled rear range extends from the main building, with a built-out ground floor and exposed 17th-century timber framing visible in the gable end. This range includes a first-floor horizontal sliding sash window and a pediment over a garden door. A further rear range, constructed of later brickwork, incorporates a large stone stack that adjoins the Bull Hotel. Early 19th-century iron railings define the forecourt. A roughly built garden wall, approximately six feet high with a coursed base, runs along the right side of the front, extending as far as the Manor House. The interior is said to retain good 18th-century panelling and a hall with a box frame dating to around 1500.
