Description
The Conduit is a retaining wall and former water outlet built in the Tudor style. It is made of tooled squared green stone and features a plinth and coping. The central part of the structure projects and has a shouldered gable above a chamfered elliptical arched shallow recess, which is infilled with long blocks of a lighter tooled stone. Attached to this is a re-used sandstone ashlar shield displaying the arms of the Earls of Powis along with a coronet. There are short curved retaining walls on either side, each ending in a pilaster. At the top of the gable, there is a scrolled wrought-iron support for a lamp, complete with an iron finial.
