Description
Ddol Farmhouse is an 18th century brown brick farmhouse built in 1789, featuring a wing to the north and various alterations and additions. It has a slate roof and diagonally set toothing at the eaves band. At the center above the eaves, there is a stone cornice with a tympanum inscribed with the words: "IN SPE NON ALIENATA EDWD EYTON ERECTED THIS 1789," along with a crest depicting the upper half of a griffon holding a sabre. The farmhouse has recessed sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance features a door with six fielded panels, wing lights, and an arched fan with an open pediment above.
Inside, there are two-panel doors, a wide fireplace with a new grate, and a cupboard with fielded panels and H-hinges. The stairs are plain with a cut string, and there is an oak door in the attic. A full inspection was not conducted during the 1994 resurvey.
