Description
No. 2 of 6 graves in the graveyard to the west of All Saints Church is a chest tomb dedicated to John Tomkinson of Gwersyllt, who died in 1751. The tomb features pilaster detailing and is enclosed by a stone plinth measuring approximately 1.8 meters square, with an inscription on the north side that reads: "John Tomkinson Liverpool Owner." This enclosure is topped with cast iron railings that have finials designed in a lobed spearhead style. The group of graves, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, is noted for its variety of ornamental styles and is recognized for its group value with All Saints Church.
