Description

Pentre Mawr Farmhouse is a 2-storey, 3-window farmhouse built of rubble stone with a slate roof, which is partly missing. The roof features coped gables supported by moulded kneelers, with the kneeler on the southeast side dated 1708. Each gable end has a large external stone chimney. The front of the house is symmetrical, with a centrally located doorway that has an ovolo-moulded surround and a boarded door. This doorway is flanked by 19th-century 2-light casement windows under wooden lintels. The upper storey windows are similar but sit beneath coped gablets. At the right side of the house, there is a single-storey bakehouse that has an end stone stack. This bakehouse features a doorway with a window to its right.
