Description

The Tremeirchion Cross is a parish cross made of Gwespyr sandstone. It features a surviving rood that was previously mounted on a plain modern shaft support with a stepped base. The rood has ogee-headed niches on all four sides, each adorned with finials and pinnacles. The front side depicts the Crucifixion, featuring the Blessed Virgin Mary and St John. The back side shows the Virgin seated, holding the Christ Child in her left arm while raising her right arm. The short sides display ecclesiastics in their pontificals.
