Description

Nannau is a two-storey terrace building constructed of coursed blocks of squared stone, topped with slate roofs and featuring brick stacks. The openings are mostly under segmental stone heads, except for the right-hand bay of 137 and 137B, which have cambered stone heads. The windows are wooden casements with either two or three lights. The rear of the building is reported to be made of painted rubble.

The property at 137 has three windows, but a butt joint to the right of the central window indicates it was originally two cottages. There is an infilled doorway to the right of this joint, which would have belonged to a one-window cottage similar to 137B. The house features two brick ridge stacks, one to the left (shared with 135) and one to the right of centre (above the butt joint). The entrance is slightly offset to the left of centre and includes a gabled half-glazed wooden porch under a slate roof. The margin-glazing suggests a date around 1900, featuring a margin-glazed door, overlight, and narrow gothic side-lights, all beneath a Tudor-arched head with a glazed gable displaying Y-tracery. Inside the porch, there is a panelled door and a decorative fanlight under a round arched head; the door is said to have a neo-classical knocker in the form of a female face. The windows are three-light with central opening casements, except for the one above the porch, which is two-light. The ground floor windows have a small segmental pane over the central light, creating a rudimentary Venetian motif.

The interior has not been seen as of December 8, 2005, but it was previously noted to have a massive ceiling beam extending into 137B, a staircase dating to around 1800, and fielded panelled doors.
