Description
The stable and coach-house located at the rear of the Wynnstay Arms Hotel is a single-storey structure built of coursed limestone on a rubble plinth, topped with an old slate roof that is hipped at the south end. The masonry is largest at the base and gradually decreases in size towards the eaves.
The front of the building features a stable on the left and carriage bays on the right. The stable has a boarded door on the right and a window opening on the left, both set under segmental stone voussoirs. There is an additional window opening at the south end, just below the eaves, although both window openings are currently boarded over.
To the right of the stable, there are two carriage bays separated by a stone pier. Each bay contains double boarded doors with timber lintels positioned just below the eaves. A second stone pier is located further right, beyond which are two pairs of double boarded doors, also immediately under the eaves and separated by a timber post. The north end of the building is joined by a taller stone range, and the rear of the structure abuts the boundary wall of the library. The interior has not been inspected.
