Description
Pont-y-Mwynwr is a building designed in the Tudor Gothic Revival style, noted for its good detailing. It features an ashlar exterior and a slate roof. The structure is two stories high with four bays, including two projecting gabled bays; the left bay is battered, while the central bay includes a storeyed porch. To the left of the porch is a later 19th-century bay window. The windows are adorned with stilted hoodmoulds and typically consist of 12 and 16-pane sashes. The entrance is pointed arched and also has a hood mould. The left-hand return elevation is painted and rendered, while some elements at the rear display slate hanging.
Inside, there is a staircase with an open string that has an early 19th-century appearance, and the floor is covered with Ruabon tiles from the late 19th century. A full inspection of the building was not possible during the 1995 survey.
