Description
The Quay is a quay wall made of large blocks of coursed dressed stone, topped with coping. It runs approximately 100 meters from northwest to southeast. At the southeast end, a return section has been hidden due to an extension of the quay in 2005. At the northwest end, the return features stone steps with a later iron handrail, and the quay continues for another 10 meters before meeting a 20th-century concrete terraced sea wall. Along the quay, there are six later hollow cast-iron mooring posts filled with concrete, two of which are stamped 'Stanton H 1936'. Additionally, there are two iron mooring rings on the coping course.
