Description
The former house and byre at Dol-y-Mur Goch is an 18th-century single-storey structure made of whitened rubble, resting on a part-boulder plinth. It features a squat chimney on the left gable with plain capping and a built-up louvre, topped with a slate roof. The domestic section on the left has a modern boarded door, flanked by original small window openings that contain 4 and 2-pane 19th-century sashes, which are boarded and in fragmentary condition. To the right, there is an entrance to the byre with a chamfered lintel, which is currently without a door. There is also a further boarded stable door on the right gable.
The domestic section consists of two bays and includes a large inglenook fireplace on the left, featuring a huge oak bressummer. The collar truss is poorly scantled. The byre section also has two bays, but the purlins have been replaced.
