Description
Tyddyn Llwyn Farmhouse is a farmhouse, likely dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of whitened, rendered rubble, with a slate roof and built into the side of a hill. The west gable end shows a pronounced batter, and the front (south side) has an irregular boulder plinth. Tall end chimneys are present, featuring capping and weather-coursing. The central entrance has a 20th-century part-glazed door, flanked by two 2-pane casement windows. Three further 4-pane casement windows are set off to one side. A storeyed, rendered extension was added in the later 19th century to the rear, featuring a rubble outshut to the left. A later rubble extension with a corrugated asbestos roof is present to the right, with a modern part-glazed door to the left. The farmhouse was not inspected during a survey in February 1995, but it is reported that beamed ceilings and an inglenook fireplace survive in the former hall.
