Description

The Roman Bridge is a vernacular 3-span clapper footbridge located over the Afon Glaslyn. The southernmost span and the associated boulder-built ramp are modern additions. The bridge features irregular boulder platforms with crude cutwaters on both the upstream and downstream sides. The two northernmost spans are formed by cyclopean slate-stone slabs. At the northern end, there are rubble piers flanking a modern gate. The overall length of the bridge is approximately 20 meters.
