Description

15 Segontium Terrace is part of a late Georgian terrace consisting of nine three-storey, two-bay houses. The buildings feature slate roofs and brick or roughcast chimney stacks on the right side. The entrances are located in the left-hand bay and are accessed by steps. In front of the houses, there are original iron railings on dwarf walls, which have pointed and cone finials on the stanchions, although the gates have been replaced.

Houses numbered 15 to 19 are larger than those numbered 11 to 14 and project forward at the rear. They also retain original architraves on the front, while houses 11 to 14 display late 19th-century details. The walls have been renewed with render.

The entrance features a half-lit panelled door beneath an original radial-glazed fanlight, with a recently added porch. The windows are set in original moulded architraves that include keystones on the lower and middle storeys. The lower storey has an Edwardian segmental-headed casement window beneath a curved transom with a coloured glass overlight. The middle storey features French doors with similar coloured glass overlights, leading to a cast iron balcony supported by brackets. The upper storey contains a blind window on the left and a four-pane sash window on the right.

This terrace is part of the group of houses at 11-19 Segontium Terrace.
