Description
East Lodge is a small lodge, likely dating from the 18th century, built in a gentle Picturesque style and situated against the park boundary wall. The exterior is constructed of roughly coursed rubblestone, with a slate roof featuring carved purlin ends and slate soffits to deep, overhanging verges. A single-storey range, set at a right angle to the park wall, features a three-light mullioned and transomed window to the left and an entrance to the right. A two-storey gabled range projecting to the left has a similar mullioned and transomed window on the ground floor, with a cross-window directly above it. A purple brick internal lateral stack is located on the right return, running parallel to the park wall. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
