Description

Llaithgwm is a linear range of a farmhouse and farm buildings, dating from the 18th century, located with agricultural ranges to the north and south. The farmhouse features a small additional wing that extends from the front. On the right side, there is a continuously-roofed cowhouse, while a lower cowhouse is situated on the left. The building is constructed of stone with a slated roof and stone stacks that have weathercoursing and capping.

The main elevation has a near-central entrance with a part-glazed 20th-century door. To the left of the entrance is a wooden leaded cross-window, with the upper left light being plain-glazed. To the right of the entrance, there is a 4-pane 20th-century casement window. The upper floor features three modern tilting windows that break the eaves and are set within catslide dormers, with both small-pane and plain-glazed sections. At the rear, there are two modern windows alongside an original small square light to the left.

On the left side, there is a gabled wing that projects forward and includes an end chimney. This wing has a boarded door with a 3-pane overlight to its left return and modern 4-pane casements to the right on both floors.

Adjoining the main block on the right is a later lofted cowhouse range, with a visible masonry break. This range features small 2-pane windows on both floors, with the upper floor windows located under the eaves. There is a central entrance with a slate lintel and a stable-type door at the rear. The gable end has oversailing verges and an upper boarded entrance, which is accessed by external stone steps on both sides, with a 20th-century wooden balustrade.

To the left of the main range, there is a single-storey cowhouse with a modern corrugated iron roof. It has entrances on both the left and right, featuring a stable door and a boarded door with an overlight, respectively, along with a 20th-century 6-pane window in the center.

The interior was not available for inspection at the time of the survey.
