10 High Street

10 High Street is a group of two-storey buildings with one-window fronts, constructed from coursed rubble. Nos 10 and 12 are reflected pairs with Nos 8 and 6, while the left half features cellar windows. The buildings have slate roofs and rubble chimney stacks with large weathercourses, although the stack has been removed from No 12. The ground floor has slate stone lintels that create a nearly continuous band. Nos 4 and 6 still have sash windows, while the others have modern replacements. There are blocked window openings above the doorways of Nos 6 and 8, as well as another above Nos 10 and 12. Most doors are six-pane, with modern doors at No 4 and a half-glazed door at No 14 next to a shop window. The left gable end is rubble, while the right end is pebbledash. The rear elevations are a mix of rubble, cement render, and slate hanging, with most featuring dormers, and there is a cross range at No 14.
