Description
This building at 8 High Street is a group of two-storey structures with one window each, constructed from coursed rubble. Nos 8, 10, 12, and 14 are paired symmetrically, with the left side featuring cellar windows. The roofs are covered with slate, and there are rubble chimney stacks with prominent weathercourses, although the stack on No 12 has been removed. The slate stone lintels on the ground floor create a nearly continuous band across the front. Nos 4 and 6 still have sash windows, while the others have modern replacements. There are blocked window openings above the doorways of Nos 6 and 8, as well as another above Nos 10 and 12. Most doors are six-pane, with modern doors at No 4 and a half-glazed door at No 14 next to a shop window.
The left gable end is made of rubble, while the right end is finished with pebbledash. The rear elevations are a mix of rubble, cement render, and slate hanging, with most featuring dormers, and there is a cross range attached to No 14.
