Description
The stables at Llanidan House are a two-storey building with attics, featuring a three-unit stable range. There is a two-storey, two-window range set at right angles to the rear, along with a later lean-to extension in the left angle at the back. Steps lead to the upper storey at the left gable return, which has a segmentally headed arched recess. The structure is built of local rubble with sandstone dressings, and it has slate lintels over the front elevation windows, brick heads to the lower storey of the rear range, and slate sills throughout. The roof is modern slate, with rubble stacks at the left gable end and at the rear of the right-hand bay.
The main entrance elevation is asymmetrically planned with a six-window range and three doorways, including a central doorway that features a finely dressed stone ovolo-moulded elliptical head. The rear elevation is symmetrically planned with a two-window range and a central doorway with an elliptical head. The lower storey windows are segmentally headed, while the small upper storey windows are set under the eaves.
The lower storey contains modern fittings, while the upper storey features a dressed stone fireplace.
