Description

This is a long, single-story agricultural range with a cross wing to the south and a two-story side wing to the north. The central range incorporates an early 18th century corn barn to the south, with an in-line extension built later consisting of a tackroom, stable, feedroom, and loose box. The south cross wing is composed of a loosestall at the east end, a long cowhouse to the central part, a smaller cowhouse, and a feedroom at the west end. The north range is a three-bay lofted cartshed.

The original corn barn has rubble walls with rounded rubblestone voussoir openings to narrow opposed doors, and ventilation slits on either side (the left-hand one opening into a small window; it has a grouted slate roof. The buildings added in 1885 have rubble walls and cambered brick heads over the openings; the ridge is offset and slightly lower than the corn barn. Five skylights have been inserted along the east slope of the roof. Boarded stable doors are present. The door to the former tackroom and stable, to the right of the corn barn, has been widened, with a modern sliding door now in place.

The long cowhouse range to the south has rubble walls with brick voussoir heads, and a slate roof with sheet glass rooflights. Stable doors are located on the north wall, two on the east side of the corn barn, and one on the west. The granary-cartshed at the north end of the range is a handsome building with three cart bays (facing north) and two lofts, one a granary and the other for labourers. The roofline is at a higher level than the attached central range. Stone staircases are located at either gable end. A boarded window is set under the eaves of the right-hand loft (rear). The three cart bays are arranged asymmetrically, with two set together on the left side, and the third spaced further to the right. They have flat-headed basket arches with brick voussoirs and boarded double doors. A slate plaque reads "GM" over "1885" above the central bay, commemorating George Meyrick of Bodorgan estate, former owners of the farm.

Inside the corn barn, there are three bays with a collared timber roof structure. The truss on the right (north) side has been reinforced with a second truss. The roof trusses in the other agricultural buildings have sawn and bolted kingposts with struts. The loose stall in the cowhouse wing has internal partitions and timber hay racks. The long cowhouse has stalls along the building's length, with a feed passage behind.
