Description

Brockweir Bridge is a Grade II listed structure made of cast and wrought iron. It features paired cast iron cylinders that are cross-braced to create the piers. The bridge has three spans of wrought iron lattice girders, with the roadway running inside the girders, which are separate for each span. A maker's plate on the parapet reads "E FINCH & Co LIMTD ENGINEERS 1908 IRONFOUNDERS CHEPSTOW," along with another plate commemorating the bridge's restoration in 1986 by Sheppard Adkins (Engineering) Ltd. This bridge spans the border between Wales and England, as well as between Monmouthshire and the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire.
