Description
Ecclesmachan Parish Church is a medieval building that has undergone substantial alterations in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, particularly in 1710, 1822, and 1908. The church is oblong in shape and constructed of coursed rubble with skew-gabled ends and a slated roof. It features round-headed windows and a Norman doorway. In 1710, a north aisle was added, and this was extended east and west in 1908, with the addition of a porch. A chancel and vestry were added to the west end in 1908. The interior was refitted in 1822 and 1908, resulting in a plain interior. The building remains in ecclesiastical use.
