Description
The Burial Enclosure at Whitburn Parish Church, located on Manse Road, dates back to 1718 and was rebuilt in 1729. It features a plain Georgian plan and is constructed from rubble with gabled skews and a slated roof. A belfry is present, and a porch was added around 1930. The interior was gutted by fire in 1955 but was restored in 1959. The burial place of Baillie of Polkemmet is situated at the exterior of the eastern arm and consists of a square enclosure with dressed stone walls, mural tablets, and headstones. There are two single-storey additions at the southeast and southwest angles, which have flat roofs and are harled.
