Description

Loch Lomond And Trossachs National Park Planning Authority

Cobleland Bridge, originally built circa 1752, and repaired in 1779, is a rubble bridge of 2 segmentally arched spans, with splayed battered cutwaters to the central and heavy abutments (later additions) to the S side. The voussoirs of the arch rings are recessed from the wall plane. The rubble parapet continues into wing walls which sweep out to widen the approach at both ends of the bridge.

Cobleland Bridge is a relatively unaltered mid-18th century rural bridge with arch ring detailing, unusual to the local area.
