Description

Dalnamein Bridge, built between 1926 and 1928 by engineer Sir Owen Williams and architect Maxwell Ayrton, is a large single-span, skew-arched, open-frame reinforced concrete road bridge. It features two arched ribs that support a framework of single and paired square-plan concrete columns. The cantilevered carriageway has a concrete parapet that sweeps out at the base, with a slit balustrade over the arch. At each end, there are plain block concrete abutments.
