Description
The Church of Kilmaveonaig is a rectangular building constructed from rubble, with a date inscribed as 'AR AG 1591' on the south flank. It was rebuilt in 1794 according to designs by John Stewart, with Charles Robertson serving as the master mason. The windows were given traceried designs in 1866-71 and 1899, and a Gothic narthex was added in 1899. A reredos was installed in 1912, and there is also a slab from Alexander Robertson dating back to 1634.
