Description
The granary building on Kerse Road in Stirling dates from around 1904. It is a three-storey structure with an attic, featuring a layout of three bays by six bays. The exterior is constructed of red brick, accented with contrasting yellow brick dressings. Each bay is defined by pilaster strips, and there is a segmental relieving arch above the second floor. The gable head includes a blind bull's eye.
On each long side of the building, there are two projecting covered hoists that extend through the attic. The roof is made of slate. Inside, the first and second floors have timber flooring supported by steel joists and iron columns arranged in an approximate grid pattern of 12 feet by 8 feet. The attic floor features a timber post structure and has a lower ceiling height.
