Description
St Ninian's Roman Catholic Church in Bannockburn was built in 1927 and designed by architect Archibald Macpherson in a modified Early Christian style. The church features a long nave constructed from multi-coloured bricks, topped with a red tiled roof and a copper spire on a red tiled tower. At the southwest end, there is a trigonal projecting bay over the porch. Inside, the church has a grey brick interior with wide-arched arcades and an open timber ceiling. The organ and choir loft are located at the southwest end, and there is a high sanctuary arch at the northeast end.
Adjacent to the church is the presbytery, which is linked by an arch. This two-storey building is also made of multi-coloured bricks and has a red tiled roof with chimney-copings. The windows on both the lower and upper storeys are round-headed.
