Description
Moat Park Church, located in Kirkstyle, Biggar, was designed by Peddie and Kinnear and is dated 1865 at the bell tower. The church is built in a Romanesque style using squared snecked rubble with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof.
At the eastern end, there is a shallow narthex that includes four small pilastered round-headed windows adorned with dog tooth decoration. These windows are flanked by two round-headed doorways, which are supported by columns with carved capitals, and a large rose window is situated above. The church has a square bell tower topped with a pyramidal roof covered in fish scale slates.
The nave is buttressed and consists of five bays, with simple round-headed windows. The interior is plain, featuring a gallery at the eastern end. Additionally, there is a church hall located at the rear.
