Description

The walled garden at Braxfield House is likely from the late 18th century. It is asymmetrical and designed to follow the natural contours of the landscape. At the southern end, there is a bothy and an entrance arch. The structure is built of random rubble with a flat ashlar coping. The central section of the eastern wall has been lowered, and there is a reinstated arched opening to the west featuring ashlar voussoirs.
