Description
The Harbour Store in Bruray, Out Skerries, is an early 19th-century single-storey building featuring a two-bay shop with an adjoining shed on the eastern gable and a single-storey four-bay symmetrical store located to the northwest. The walls are constructed of random rubble.
The shop has a lean-to porch on the left side and a window on the right side of the main northern elevation. There is a single window on the right side of the gable end, and a coped gablehead stack with a circular can. At the rear elevation, there is a single window positioned to the right of centre. The adjoining shed is enlarged and gabled, made of rubble and brick, and shares the gable with the shop.
The store features symmetrical, vertically-boarded timber doors in the bays flanking the centre, with a square window in the outer bays. The gables and rear elevation are blank.
Modern timber windows have been installed, and the shop is clad in corrugated sheets, while the store has a felted roof. Both buildings have rubble skews.
