Description

Kirk Bridge is an early 19th-century bridge, possibly dating back even earlier, that spans Kirk Burn. It features a segmental arch and is constructed from ribbon-pointed sandstone rubble, with some squared sections. The voussoirs are made of tooled cream sandstone, and the soffit is made of rubble. The bridge has squared ashlar coping on its low walls and square-plan piers with shallow pyramidal caps at both ends.
