Description

The Eastern Dam at Manderston House was designed by John Kinross around 1895. It is a classical structure made of ashlar sandstone, located to the southwest of the house at the foot of the lake. The dam features rusticated ashlar masonry that supports a level balustrade, which has panelled dies and an ashlar coping. At one end, there is a terminal die with a low console that is finely carved.
